Teresa Jordão is 15 years old and lives in Mafarinha in Mozambique. Physical rehabilitation, supported by Light for the World, has greatly improved Teresa’s mobility. Her father, Jordão Vinte, believes that it is truly important to invest in and ensure an inclusive environment at school, so that all children with disabilities can learn equally.

Opinion: Empower entrepreneurs with disabilities to boost economy, foster inclusivity

Climate action: farmers, facilitators, people with disabilities and design experts work together to build accessible storage for grain and produce. A group of people are building a small circular structure out of wood, with a pointed roof.
Farmers in Mozambique recently took part in a SPARK Agri-Lab, which brought together people with disabilities, facilitators, and design experts to find sustainable agricultural solutions, including assistive technology. Here, they are creating higher and more accessible storage for grain and produce, to prepare for floods and cyclones.
