Policy: Environment

Climate change and environmental degradation is one of the most urgent challenges of our time. All member states of the United Nations adopted the Paris Agreement in December 2015 and committed themselves to limiting the global temperature rise to less than 2 degrees Celsius above the level held before the Industrial Revolution. Additionally, in September 2015, the United Nations member states also adopted the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a set of 17 goals to be met by 2030, which
aim to tackle pressing global issues such as the climate crisis and poverty.
