
Deborah Oyuu Iyute
Board member
Deborah Iyute is a social worker and human rights activist in Uganda. Currently she is working as Programme Officer for Disability/HIV/Aids. Deborah is educated in Social Work & Community Development and has a wealth of knowledge in disability issues and international and national legislations in relation to disability and Human Rights. Her experience is complemented by her engagement as Board Member of the DeafNet Centre of Knowledge, as Board Member of the Forum for African Women Educationalists, as Board Member of World Federation of the Deaf and as Vice Chairperson of the Africa Contact Group for Mental Health and Deafness.
