Quahiza from Tanzania has a future.
Some 45 million disabled children live in the poverty-stricken regions of the world. At LIGHT FOR THE WORLD, we give them a future wherever we can help.
Quahiza greets life with a smile. His road is rocky, but he refuses to give up hope. Quahiza was six years old when he lost both of his legs – and with them went many of his youthful dreams. He could only move around on his hands and knees until the prospect of getting a wheelchair and prosthetic legs brightened his outlook.
Now Quahiza can take a few steps at a time without assistance. He knows he won't become a football star, but with LIGHT FOR THE WORLD he knows he will be able to make his way on his own in the future.
Helping a disabled child in a developing country costs about 25 euros per month.
You too can create a better future for children like Quahiza.
